Frost-resistant ceramics in original style for Maria Refugié Abbey

The three religious tile pictures were badly damaged by frost and have therefore been re-manufactured on frost-resistant ceramics in original techniques and in the original colors. The original tableaux have been expertly removed by us and preserved for historical and exhibition purposes. The new tableaus are made of frost-resistant ceramic using original painting techniques and original dimensions. First research has been done off the colors in order to get the result as close as possible to the original.

The Abbey was founded in 1434 in Coudewater (near Rosmalen). Around 1700 the Birgittinian sisters went to this monastery in Uden, bought from the Crosiers, the Abbey Maria Refugié. A historic building with a rich history. Three religious tile pictures designed by Van Hulst have been re-created.
