Newspaper of the North

This monumental building occupies a special place on the Zuiderdiep in Groningen. Despite the relocation to a different location of the editorial office, this building remains het Nieuwsblad for the Stadjers.

At the beginning of 1900 the Harlinger tile factory of Van Hulst was called in to tile various walls with Jugendstil decors. These walls have been restored. One wall has been completely rebuilt so that the original layout could be restored. Everything is executed in the original dimensions of 13×13 cm and tin glaze technique.
